{"id":59,"date":"2021-03-08T08:06:12","date_gmt":"2021-03-08T08:06:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/documentation.userswp.io\/article\/mycred-setup-guide\/"},"modified":"2025-03-26T15:39:30","modified_gmt":"2025-03-26T15:39:30","slug":"mycred-setup-guide","status":"publish","type":"gd_place","link":"https:\/\/userswp.io\/documentation\/article\/mycred\/mycred-setup-guide\/","title":{"rendered":"myCRED Setup Guide"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\t This article will guide you through the process of setting up the myCRED extension for UsersWP.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Getting Started<\/h2>\n<section class=\"alert alert-info\">\n\t You need to have the <a href=\"https:\/\/userswp.io\/downloads\/mycred\/\">myCRED<\/a> extension for UsersWP installed and activated in order to access these options.&nbsp; <strong>More importantly, you also need to install, activate and configure the myCRED&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>WordPress plugin before activating the extension.&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/section>\n<p>\n\tSimply put, myCRED is the de facto standard solution if&nbsp;you want to reward your users for completing actions on your website. It adds a new CPT, named <strong>Points. <\/strong>Now, whenever your users complete a given action &#8212; say signup for your mailing list, or upload a photo, they are awarded a given number of points. You can integrate UsersWP with myCRED using our extension so that your users can get points based on their profile actions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<section class=\"alert alert-warning\">\n\tThis guide assumes you know how myCRED Hooks work.
