Thank you for your great work.
I have the usersWP in my geodirectory and while some of the mails work others don’t.
1. From advance user email settings both activation and forgot password link tags aren’t there and instead the login_link is put in the mail content. As a result, registration and forgot password emails sent to users lack the activation link and password reset link respectively and instead both mails only include login_link which thwarts their effort to activate their account or change password successfully.
I attempted using the [activation_link] and [uwp_forgot] shortcodes I got from some responses in earlier similar queries here but instead they didn’t work and only appeared as an inactive link on sent mails e.g “Please click this link ‘uwp_activate=yes&key=inSlKs5juSLAzGt5bRza&login=Kinjo1’ to activate you account”
2. Another problem discovered was after several attempts to resend the forgot password mail, the users could no longer receive any of users WP emails. Even attempts to register new users failed sending registration/activation mails. I later deactivated and reactivated the usersWP plugin and it worked for new members (receiving emails but still without activation link)but older members do not receive any userswp emails despite even re-sending from backend.
Based on explanations above:
1. Why doesn’t my plugin have the Activation link tag and change password tag? I assume this is why emails sent in both cases only have the login link which instead redirects users to account/login page yet they simply need to change password or have account activated. Is there a usersWP version with these tags? I have 1.1.3.
2. Why aren’t users receiving mails altogether..although I guess it could be cause I sent many forgot password emails while trying to see if it work effectively. But even after deactivating and activating again the old user with forgot password issue still can’t receive any of userswp emails even after using the resend button in backend.Thank you for your help.
July 22, 2019 at 1:33 pm #48021. [#login_details#] serves that purpose, try that.
2. Try installing the ’email log’ plugin to make sure the emails are being created. If they are created then they could be going to SPAM or even being blocked by your mail sender.July 22, 2019 at 8:20 pm #4805Thank you for your reply.
The activation link is now working after using the [#login_details#] shortcode.
However the forgot password email still lacks the link redirecting users to set new password and after several attempts this is the message received “Dear Sheila KInjo, Please change your new password details here Thank you” There is no link despite adding the [#login_details#] shortcode. please assist.Thank you for your help

July 23, 2019 at 10:03 am #4809Hi,
Can you then just provide the URL where I can register as a user and try the forgot password flow to check if it works or not?

It seems emails are either not sent or are sent late. Can you provide the email you get after submitting forgot password form in private reply?
I have registered with my email but yet not received the activation email in my inbox or spam. So there is something wrong with emails.

PatrikJuly 23, 2019 at 11:40 am #4816Hi,
Thanks Patrik for the assistance.
I will however first inquire with my hosting company see if maybe the issue maybe with them… and try sorting out. If the problem persist I’ll be back.
I appreciated your assistance today.
