Future for Friends and Followers add ons

Hello, I saw that someone asked this question a year or so ago, and again about 6 mos ago, but nothing else. Is there anything in the works to make add some sort of notification for friends and followers? The whole point of following someone’s posts is to see their new posts, but there’s no notification to the person following you when you post something new. Same for friends. There’s no notification when a friend posts. I purchased the full year add on for these features without realizing they don’t DO anything. Thanks.
