Link from Member Account Page to User profile

I have searched everywhere, so I apologize if this has already been addressed in Support or the docs.

I would like to have a button on the User’s account page that takes them to their profile so they can preview and edit it. I tried putting the profile shortcode right on the account page, but it simply displays the profile as another user would ses it and offers no way to edit the images. It does show an edit button next to the user name, but that simply loops back to the account page.

I would like users to easily be able to view their own profile page and update the images, starting from their own account page. If that feature is already there, I am missing it, but if not, what is the correct way to set that up?

As it is now, members must search for themselves on the member directory page, then visit their profile — a process that is “clunky” and confusing for non-techie users.

As well-made as UsersWP is, I’m guessing there is a simple, easy way to do this, but I have yet to find it.
