I’m looking to switch to this plugin, after trying out several others and I need to know if the following are possible to do:
. Customize login page so that renew password link is disabled and I can put a message f.ex “wrong password, please try again”. I saw example of css to omit parts of the login form here, how could I make it as described above?

Also: is it possible to hide member profile pages and access to them etc to subscriber level users?

    Hi,

We have provided hooks and filters to extend the functionality of our plugin and also you can override the templates to modify it as per your requirements. See: https://userswp.io/docs/developers/override-templates/

For remove password link you can either use CSS display:none or override template and remove the link from there. For changing message you can use filter available.

If you explain the thing you want in detail then I can guide you more.

    Regards,
    Patrik

Thanks for the speedy reply 🙂

I took a look at the link, and if possible I would be very grateful for some more guidance :-). I installed the plugin and now there are some other problems that need solutions. I am doing this in staging mode – that shouldn’t be a problem though? I am using Elementor Free and Hello Theme.

    – UsersWP “inherited” users already registered with another plugin, User Roles Editor. But when I click on a user in the Users List page, I get error. What do I have to do to make it work? I have tried with both deactivating and and activating the User Roles Editor. These Users appear in the WP User list whether tha plugin is activated or not.

    – Can’t open user Profile Page neither in UsersWP page settings nor in WP dashboard. Keep getting “error-to-many-redirects”.

    – All of the pages except Change Password open as Account page.

    – Any changes made to the login page in Elementor are not saved. If I exit (after publishing and updating) to dashboard and go back to editing the page in Elementor all previous changes are gone. And as above, when I preview. the account page is shown instead of the Login page.

So, when these issues are solved, I’ll try to clarify what I need:

    – Users should not be allowed to view or edit their profile page. It looks like this can be set in WP page edit, just setting each of those pages to password protected accessible only to admin. But there should be no link or any way that users can attempt to see profile page or change password page – I do not want them to see any message that they are not allowed to see the page.

    – disable the password-reset link and instead change it to a friendly phrase – do you need the exact phrase (will be in Swedish..)

    – have visitor who enters wrong UN/PW remain on the login page and see the phrase above. There are known problems with Elementor that in such a case that visitor gets redirect to default WP-login-page. Will the setting in UsersWP override Elementor? This is the setting I mean:
“Redirect wp-login.php? Redirect wp-login.php? When enabled /wp-login.php page will be redirected to UsersWP login page.”

    – translate login page labels/placeholders to Swedish

Really hope you can get all this solved for me since the plugin could probably make things easier for me and slimline the need for plugins if it works.

    Best regards and stay safe!
