I cannot recreate this issue. These were genuine users that joined the site and I just happened to see this issue way after the fact.
Is there something else you can do, like create a new field for this bio somehow, repopulate it with all the content for each user, and then remove the old bio field that appears corrupt?
That only moved the tab, it didn’t move the content for the tab with the tab. See image attached:
It’s been about 6 months since this idea was mentioned in the previous thread you linked to above. Stiofan said “We do plan on making this possible in settings in future but its not at the moment.” Do you know how much longer that may be?
I’m kind of scared to do this because you said “this is not the best solution”. And with the other issue going on https://userswp.io/support/topic/bio-is-cut-short/ maybe it’s not a good time to do it yet. I may try though…
I inquired with my hosting provider and they looked all they could. I still don’t know what to do. I really want to move past this. Can you help me somehow? Between this, GD, and experimenting with V2 I am wore out. All this testing and fixing and testing and fixing has been going on for over 6 months. It’s killing me! I just want to get to where I’m actually using the site creating content and getting people to join! There must be something UWP can do to help resolve this so I may move forward.
And what about the suggestion you made to make an HTML field? I shared an image of how I don’t see where that is an option.
What about the fact that I removed the bio via admin (see image) but it’s still showing on the front end? https://veganlinked.com/profile/adriennewilliams/bio/
I may have fixed the other issue now. So, really it seems at this point the only issue is this bio field. I’m really looking forward to resolving this because I think I would like to buy into this plugins set so my users can do more, like post, interact more, etc… ! 🙂
I don’t understand what you’re suggesting, HTML field type? There is only a text field type. This is really setting me back. I know it’s not your fault but this is now several days of preventing me from being able to really use the site. I can’t ask people to join a site if the fields are broken. There’s another issue too and I don’t know if it’s related. Users are linked to events and listing but not the listing/event isn’t linking back to the user.
Can you help me by creating this HTML field and placing making it display in the first tab order and placing all the original bios in the new bio fields? I ask because I wonder if this is something you know how to do quicker and easier via the backend/in the database or something?
Thanks, I think it’s best I just remove it. I actually think I prefer people just go through the process 🙂
Here is another one: https://veganlinked.com/profile/edmundocarandi/bio/ but this listing looks fake because the content in the bio is completely not relevant. It is nonetheless cut off.

This reply has been marked as private.NOOOO, here’s another one doing this:
I didn’t create the profile so I have no idea how this happened.
I just logged in and removed the bio from the admin and it’s still showing the bio cut short from the front end.
I also just noticed that while there is a link to the event this user create from their profile to the event there is not a link to their profile from the event. I can’t tell what’s going on, this has me deeply worried about the site’s overall integrity 🙁
