controlling member access

Hello, I am setting up a business and my main product is a physical item that I am selling. Once someone purchases the item, I want them to be able to register on my site to become a member and have access to specific content for one year with the option of renewing their membership to maintain access. I am using GeoDirectory to set up my site. I purchased usersWP thinking it would allow me to control access to parts of my website, but I can’t see any way to do this. If I can’t block specific areas, would I be able to block the whole page? Thank you.
