Hello,

In testing UWP, I have a custom Login link in my nav menu. It generates a popup built with Elementor that includes a UsersWP login form.

FWIW, I’m trying this for two reasons. 1/ I can style the whole login modal around the UWP form with logo, colors, borders, etc… and 2/ for some reason, this custom Elementor login opens about 5 seconds faster than the default UWP modal created with the endpoint.

That said, I’m having an issue. If someone enters an incorrect password, the modal simply closes — no notice, no error message. The user must think to click the custom login link in the nav again, and then when the modal pops up, there is the correct error message displayed.

Any ideas on how to not close that modal on a user input error? Or otherwise display the error message associated with the action?

Hi,

It will definitely not work as we use our own model classes to identify the form in the model and submit it using AJAX. When you show form in the elementor model then it doesn’t have that class and the form will submit as a normal form and not using AJAX. You have to write custom code for AJAX submission.

OK, I understand. I’m not going to write any custom code around this function however. Above my pay grade. 🙂

The inability to ‘customize’ the UWP login – add a header image in the modal, add colors and borders, use a different social login plugin and place icons in modal, etc, etc, etc, is kind of a bummer though.

Maybe providing this ability might be a good feature for the road map.

(although that still does not solve the fact that the Elementor modal fully displays 3-5 seconds faster than the UWP modal).

You can customize the login form by overriding the template. We have used the bootstrap model in general. You can always customize the things easily but we target the general audience while developing a plugin. We have made the plugin flexible so one can customise it as required.
