No registration email to new users

    Do I need to change the email template in that case or what else? Because whatever I set, the user always receives the same email. Never with an activation link, just username and password…

    Hi,

    Can you explain in detail about how you want to use with WP Geodirectory? “Require Email Activation” is the feature of UsersWP and you can set up it for registration form so that users can log in only after email verification.

    1. Here https://userswp.io/docs/geodirectory/ you suggest using “AutoApprove + AutoLogin”. And this works. I am asking if I must use this option or I can also use “Require Email Activation”.

    2. I am asking because when I set “Require Email Activation”, doesn’t work. Precisely nothing change between these options, the user always receives the same message with credentials (username, password) without activation link.

    Because of that i ask if there is something wrong with wpgeodirectory-userswp integration or mine… Can you check please?

    Where is the user registering when that happens?

    On the add listing page with name and email?

    Hi,

    Currently, if you have password field in the registration form then it will not send activation link and will send only new registration email but if you want to force send an email activation link to users then let me know the FTP details in private reply and I will apply some fixes for you. Your above FTP is not working.

    Hi,
    I have tried disabling password field, but nothing changed.
    FTP should work now.

    For me is also okay registration form without password, just then the first “change password” box should automatically close after changing the password. Otherwise is not intuitive and remains open forcing user to manually close.

    Hi,

    It seems like there is some issue with your site as the default email sent after the registration contains “[#client_name#]” which is not in UWP as UWP supports “[#user_name#]” so there is something changed either in your core files or in the database by other plugins may be.

    If possible, you can try uninstalling UsersWP plugin with erasing all data-enabled and install it again and check if it works or not. You can do this on the staging site instead of on live first.
