    Hi, I’m having several issues with the social login.

    1. I can’t get Google to work. After setting it up and getting the App ID and App Secret. It still tells me “This app isn’t verified” by Google. See attachment. Also can’t find any documentation telling me how to set it up correctly.
    2. I have the facebook setup correctly and after I enable it, it isn’t showing the facebook icon, just a link.

    Hi,

    1. You need to verify your app by Google before making it live. Please have a look at this link: https://developers.google.com/apps-script/guides/client-verification

    2. I think the add ons are not installed properly. Can you please uninstall and install it again? I don’t see the facebook and google icon images in the UsersWP-Social add on maybe you have not downloaded properly. Please download the add on from your account on the userswp.io site and set up again and let me know if it resolves your issue or not. If not then provide FTP details in private reply and I will do more troubleshooting.

    I reinstalled the add-on and it seems to be displaying the icons correctly. I’m waiting on verfication from Google. Thank you for the help.

    I have waited for 3 days and it still isn’t working. Some documentation for setting up the plugin on Google would be very useful. Do you have any?

    Hi,

    For App verification, you have to follow the steps on this link: https://developers.google.com/apps-script/guides/client-verification. I would suggest you check with the google team for the status of the app as it is not coming from our add on.

    Here are the steps to follow for getting the required credentials:

    1. Go to https://console.developers.google.com
    2. On the Dashboard sidebar click on Project then click Create Project
    3. Once the project is created. Select that project, then APIs & auth > Consent screen and fill the required information.
    4. Then APIs & auth > APIs and enable Google+ API. If you want to import the user contacts enable Contacts API as well.
    5. After that you will need to create an new application: APIs & auth > Credentials and then click Create new Client ID.
    6. On the Create Client ID popup :
    – Select Web application as your application type.
    – Put your website domain in the Authorized JavaScript origins field. This should match with the current hostname.
    – Provide Authorized redirect URI for your application.
    7. Once you have registered past the created application credentials (Client ID and Secret) into the settings.
