It creates a file and then you scan again

March 30, 2020 at 5:14 am #7787Hi,
Can you please check in the userswp folder if there is a file called db-language.php created or not? If the file is created then it will contain all the dynamic strings for the UsersWP plugin. You can go to WPML->String translation and search for the language domain userswp and you will find those strings there.

PatrikApril 1, 2020 at 5:16 pm #7810Thank you very much! It works great!
I re-installed the new plugin, scanned again… it did create the file db-language.php and I could see the strings were there.
They did not show up in WPML String Translation but then I realized it would need to scan the plugin… which is WPML -> Theme and Plugins Localization -> select userswp -> scan selected plugins for strings… now the strings are there (in string translation) to translate!
Thank you for making UsersWP multilingual!
We really appreciate your work and your quick response to our needs.

Have you tried the DB text translation tool? This will add all the strings stored in the database to the file so that it can be found by POEdit or translation plugin. Go to UsersWP->Status->Tools->DB text translation and click on Run. It will generate the file called db-language.php in the root of the UsersWP plugin folder. You can use the .po file to translate those strings.
Please try it and let me know if it helps or not.

PatrikMay 5, 2020 at 1:16 pm #8199Yes, I used the translation tool and translated the strings.
The strings show up translated (in the appropriate language) on the “account” page (perfect),
but they still show up in English on the profile page or the users page no matter what language is selected.
(The screenshots above are while in the Spanish language.)
Thanks,
ColinJune 12, 2020 at 11:01 pm #8201Hi there,
This issue is still pending, and is the last hurdle to us being able to launch this site. We would greatly appreciated it if you could fix this. Only part of the issue was fixed.
The strings on the account page are translated – thank you – you fixed that for me.
However, those same strings show up on the UsersWP users page and some also show up on on the profile page (profile tabs) – but always in English (regardless of language selected).
Thank you,
