I’m using the Divi theme. When I create a login page I add a code module within Divi. Inside the code module I place the [uwp_login] shortcode. All seems to work fine, but when I say in the UsersWP settings that this page is my login page the page does not load correctly anymore in the backend.

I attached a screenshot where you can see that the divi builder in the backend does not load. Instead it shows part of the global header and a loading icon

Thanks for reporting that, we’ll be happy to take a look at the problem.

Please make sure UsersWP and your theme are up to date, then write back with WP Admin and FTP credentials so we can identify the issue. If you have a staging site where we can deactivate and reactivate plugins and themes that would help.

I also had a chat with Divi support. This is the conclusion so far:

I believe the issue is caused by the fact that the shortcode [uwp_login] is actually redirecting the page for logged-in users to the account page.
Divi Builder will render any shortcode that you place in the post content and your plugin simply sees that you are trying to access the Login page, that you’re logged in and will redirect you to the Accounts page. This seems to be the functionality of that plugin.
As a workaround, I’d recommend creating your page in the Divi Library first and then importing it on the Login page (with Safe mode enabled so you can edit that page before USERWP starts redirecting it to the Accounts page).
This has nothing to do with the shortcode itself but with how UsersWP treats the page that you chose as the “login” page, it’s redirecting it to “Accounts”.

I think they are right. When I use the shortcode on another page all works fine. As soon as I start to tell the plugin this is the login page things go wrong.

In that case I see in the pages overview that the page is as wel a Divi page as a UsersWP page.

I guess that usersWp sees that I’m logged in and wants to redirect to the my account page.

When I use the Divi visual builder I can see that I’m redirected to the myaccount page and so I cannot edit in the visual builder. When I want to edit using the Divi backend editor I get the screen as posted in the screenshot.

Are you using the frontend builder for Divi?

    Hi,

We will take care of this in the next update of the plugin. We will check if we are in the editing or preview mode of the divi page then we will prevent the redirection.

    Regards,
    Patrik
