what is field set and why does more tab merge with my vegan story tab

    What is “field set” location, where does it appear? And why does “more info” tab merge with “my vegan story” tab? Is this how it’s suppose to function? It seems like “More Info” should be it’s own tab.

    To take total control of the tabs, do not use the More Info or fieldset options.

    Instead, add the tabs you want, then use the shortcode option with uwp_user_meta to display all the fields you want in the tabs you want.

    I will ask the developers to say more about the current status of More Info and fieldset.

    Thanks Alex, I wondered if that was something I could do. Is there a video demonstrating this that I may reference? It’s been a while since I messed with the Shortcodes… When I looked at it there was so many in there! lol, which is good, but I don’t know what most of them are yet so it’s a little overwhelming. I assume there’s a shortcode for the field to appear. I don’t see anything in the shortcode builder that looks like it would let me put a field in though. Am I suppose to manually create the shortcode?

    Hi,

    To use fieldset, You need to first add fieldset in the form builder and then add the fields you want to show in a fieldset and select fieldset from “Show in what locations?” for those fields.

    You have used more info tab and changed its title to “My Vegan Story” and you are adding the more info tab again so the URL slug remains the same for both and that’s why it’s showing both active.

    When I go to Form Builder/Account at the top left it says “You must be use a fieldset to group your fields.” This doesn’t read well and I’m not sure what it means to “use a fieldset” and “group your fields”.

    I added the location “fieldset” to two fields. But, I don’t see where this fieldset location appears on the front end. Where is the fieldset location suppose to appear on the front end?

    As for the Vegan Story, yes, a long time ago someone from here made the textarea field called My Vegan Story show in place of the more info. I think this was because at the time the tabs could be rearranged and I wanted “My Vegan Story” to be in the front, first thing seen. I think the plugin has changed a lot since then. So, now I wonder if whatever was done needs to be undone. But, I don’t want to lose any of the stories so I’ve been afraid to mess with it or ask. Is this ok this way?

    Hi,

    We will change that text and regarding fieldset, You have to first add a fieldset from the available field and select it’s location to more info tab and then add other custom fields like phone, social links etc and choose more info and fieldset for them as a location and check the more info tab in the profile and you will see those fields will be displayed under the title same as fieldset label and you can do the same process for adding more fieldset groups.

    Regarding Vegan Story, the data is connected to the custom field you have created in the account form builder and removing or changing tab will not affect the user’s custom fields. So you can add/remove tabs as required. You can add the predefined tabs or shortcodes to display the content from the shortcode.
