About the listing excerpt, that format is a standard template for UsersWP listings and requires customization to change.
You can, however, visit the new Tabs UI and create your own tabs with shortcodes like GD Listings which will use the archive item template from GD.

You can use WP functions to dequeue scripts. We load them on every page in case UsersWP shortcodes are added to the page.
In future versions we may be making some changes to how and when they are loaded and will take your feedback into account.
The developer who works on this is out today but he will check back as soon as possible to provide you with an example.

Do you have a staging site where we can test it?
The profile page takes over the author archive, yes, the same way that BuddyPress member profiles take over the author archives. There isn’t a way to ‘uncover’ the author archive, no.

Where are you seeing the error?
Can you share the page URL and WP Admin credentials if we need them to see the error?
The lead developer will probably need to take a look, but is off today and tomorrow.
Please also include FTP in case we need it for debugging.
