UsersWP doesn’t provide access control. We do recommend the “Members” or “S2 Members” plugins, and we have a Beta for a new Paid Members integration with”Members” and “Invoicing” plugins. For your case, you could use a discount coupon to allow your members to register for ‘free’ or 100% off while using the Members plugin to control access. Check out the integration Beta here:

UsersWP does not have such a feature at this time.
In every case I have heard of, it is the job of the Admin to apply a role to new/other users.
In some cases, members want to offer roles ‘for sale’.
You can do that with the “Paid Members” addon for WP Invoicing. This applies to users that have already registered and are seeking another role. The ‘price’ can be set to ‘free’.

You did not include a screenshot.The listview looks correct. You may want to do some styling to make it look the way you want with your theme.

You are correct that the default WP behavior should be applied, as stated on the Login page settings.
Please delete and re-install the plugin and let us know.

Are you using the UsersWP registration page or widget?
Have you already set the redirect options for Login?In the worst case, you might try deactivating, deleting, and reinstalling the plugin.
