I posted a support request on the WPInvoicing forum but had no luck getting help with my simple request, so as it involves UsersWP I will try here instead.

    From the original post: https://wpinvoicing.com/support/topic/userswp-integration/

Please can you explain how your plugins UsersWP and WPInvoicing are (or can be) integrated. For example (and only by using these two plugins), how can I charge $5 for someone to register on a website using UsersWP and WPInvoicing to manage the registration and payment?

    Thanks

    Hello!

UsersWP and WP Invoicing are not integrated to sell registration.

Are any parts of UsersWP and WPInvoicing integrated (common classes, hooks, filters, globals, etc) which could be used to achieve this simple request?

This is not something that can be achieved easily at the moment, WPI needs the user to be registered to send them an invoice/pay, but what might be possible is having them “upgrade” their user type or pay to access parts of the site. We have done basic stuff with this but we plan on doing more in future.

    Thanks,

    Hi Stiofan,

Thanks for the explanation – now I get it.

So can I let a user register on the website with UsersWP (with no payment required) and then “paywall” a certain section until they have made a Stripe payment via WPInvoicing which changes their WordPress user role to Contributor?
