Can't deactivate Mailchimp extension?

    I recently purchased the mailchimp extension, but it is missing some key features that make it not worth it for me yet, namely:

    1. Can’t customize the text “Please subscribe to my newsletter”
    2. Can’t make the checkbox defaulted to “checked”
    3. Users are added on registration attempt, not approval

    I tried to just deactivate the extension, but even now that it is deactivated, the checkbox still shows up there in the registration form. How can I deactivate?

    Hello,

    1 and 2 and 3, I will take those up with the developers. We are always adding new popular feature requests.

    If you delete the plugin it should run the uninstall.

    If not please share WP Admin so we can check on your site.

    Deleting the plugin still doesn’t make the checkbox go away.

    I would also add a 4th feature request:
    Make the checkbox right above (or below) the Terms and Conditions checkbox. Right now the Captcha shows up between the two checkboxes, it would look a lot cleaner if they were aligned.

    I’ll create a private post with admin credentials so you can take a look at the issue of the checkbox still being there after deletion.

    I haven’t noticed any other changes, but I’m at least able to activate and de-activate the plugin appropriately now.

    Hi,

    You can remove the field by deactivating the plugin and when you activate the plugin the field will be added again. You can change the label and all from the form builder.
