Error when registering

    Hi,

    Whenever I tried to register i get “Error: Something went wrong when sending email. Please contact site admin”

    Its currently not live and is on another page, I’m planning on replacing my current registration with yours 🙂

    I’ve had to uninstall it was causing white screens.

    Reinstalled seemed to have stopped the white screen, only thing I remember changing is the “I accept terms and conditions” to something else.

    Most likely that white screen not caused by UsersWP. If UsersWP is the one causing issue please report me, i’ll fix it right away.

    Hi Dotty,

    Just understood your problem.

    You have removed username field.

    At the moment UsersWP doesn’t support auto generated username. We can’t use email as username here. Because username is being used in profile slugs.

    Try adding username field and let me know whether that fixes your issue.

    Yes that worked, I’ll mask the User login as “Confirm Email” for now then 😉

    Is the ability of auto generated usernames in the cards for the future?

    Also I may be missing something but is there a user registration email sent to admin?
