Filesystem ERROR when exporting EXCEL (.csv) of user data

When exporting user data in excel format, I get the following error:

Filesystem ERROR: Filesystem ERROR: Could not create directory /wp-content/uploads/cache/. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions.

I’ve googled “Filesystem ERROR” and found that permissions for folders should be set to 755 and to 644 for files. This is currently the case for the uploads folder and its files. Currently running version WP v5.1 and UsersWP v1.0.19 — not running the latest version of UsersWP because it conflicted with another plugin that froze the dashboard indefinitely.
