    Looking for ideas.

    1. What are others doing for the page that users see when they first login to the site?

    2. Do you create a new page and add content and links to it?

    3. is there a way to create an initial welcome page after someone first signs up and then a different page when they log in later?

    Thanks.

    3. There isn’t a setting for that. The “Last page visited” is the expected behavior, generally speaking.

1&2 can be done like that, yes.

    Thanks Alex,

Do we have shortcodes available for content in UsersWP like we do for GD?

Alex I do have another question on this.

    1. I think that what I really meant above was not just logging in but when someone registers, can you send them to a Welcome page?

    2. Also in UsersWP is it possible to have two Registration forms? I would like to have different Registration Forms for Users and Business Owners adding a Listing. Is that possible?

    1. Check the UsersWP register page for the redirect setting. Tat works only when you have selected auto-approve and auto-login. To always redirect see: https://userswp.io/support/topic/woocommerce-issues/#post-6324

    2. You can use the same form multiple times, and non-required fields can be hidden with CSS.

    Thanks Alex,

    1. I looked at that code and have a question about where you put the page ID at that you want to redirect to? Can you point that out for me please?

    2. That is helpful but not what I was hoping. I would like to ask specific questions for Business Listings and as such, some of these questions would work best as Required.

It is not a different redirect, it uses the same registration redirection setting, but forces the redirection to fire even if auto-approve and auto-login are not selected.

There are also methods for customizing that, and example is here: https://github.com/UsersWP/userswp/issues/302

I have taken up your idea as a feature request, to have different registration forms with different custom fields configurations.

Ahh.. Okay I see now what that code does.

Thanks for submitting the feature request

Honestly my whole goal is to have a better way to communicate with my users and Business Owners. Here we have a directory where the most valuable asset we have are the Users and Business Owners yet there is no good way to segment and set up an autoresponder sequence and or reach out to just say a Restaurant Owner to do a survey or ask a question like “Do you offer any Vegan or Gluten Free options?”, or “Who will be open on Christmas Day?” etc.

Or even more important to be able to market to them to offer them services for things like Review Reputation Management, Website, SEO Services etc.

Such a valuable resource going to waste. WP doesn’t make this easy and neither do any of the Directory themes that I have used.

I have recently started using a game-changing software that allows me to do web-based two-way sms texting, emails and ringless voice mail drops. In addition to adding forms, surveys and funnel pages.

But my problem is that I am running into issues trying to get them into the software and or registered on my GD site without having to do a lot of manual work or duplication on both the users part and or mine.

A Zap or webhook would certainly go a long way towards solving this. Once I get them into my software I can tag them with relevant tags such as “restaurant” or “plumber”, “lawyer”, etc. and then do targeted marketing campaigns to selected groups instead of just blasting this out to everyone. To have the ability to nurture my users on a regular basis is key to the entire reason I am building a directory.

I order for this to work I need to know things like 1). Are you the business owner(decision maker), manager, or webmaster or just an employee adding this for their boss. I also need to ask for and require their mobile number and the owners email etc. so that I am getting to the decision-maker. And these specific questions are also how I will be able to automatically tag them and add them to the appropriate campaigns. These would be required fields hence why one form with non required fields is not going to work for me so thanks for putting in that request.

I am forced to look at options now like automated exports from WP All Export Pro to a google sheet or other and then another zap into my software. Or I will need to do some other complicated multistep process to do this.

I can take a business owner who wants to add a listing into a form in my software and ask them questions there but then I have to return them back to register and purchase their package. But it also seems that any questions that I ask them for my software will need to be also entered in yet again when they are adding their listing and that will not be user-friendly for them.

The registration seems to be the common denominator as “users” and “add listings” all need to be registered. But getting the additional information from an “add listing” owner and then getting it into my software is what I need help with.

I know this is a lot to digest, it is for me. But if you have any suggestions or solutions or can see about getting a Zap or Webhook setup that would be next level awesome.

Good to know. I will make another note about Zapier for UsersWP for the developers.
