February 17, 2019 at 5:06 am #3624I installed UsersWP as part of a GeoDirectory install the other day and was trying to get the user registration process set up today. I got the forms working, but I get an error message when I click the “create account” button. I’m not sure where to even look to figure out where things are wrong. February 17, 2019 at 5:12 am #3626Have a look at https://userswp.io/support/topic/problems-with-register-emails/ There may be other solutions suggested too: https://userswp.io/support/search/?bbp_search=please+contact+site+admin Thanks February 17, 2019 at 5:19 am #3627Hello, again, Guust. 🙂 So, my admin email domain does NOT match the site domain. Does that cause it to break? If so, is there any way around it? I’m not to the point, yet, of creating the email domain for the site… February 17, 2019 at 11:37 am #3628If not using an email that matches the domain, email delivery will be often marked as spam, so that would be the main problem.
ThanksFebruary 17, 2019 at 3:55 pm #3629Hi, Can you please check if emails are sent properly from your website? If not then either use SMTP plugin to use your Gmail account to send emails or contact server support. Also, Provide temporary admin and FTP details in private reply so that we can do some troubleshooting. Regards,
PatrikFebruary 18, 2019 at 3:40 am #3636Guust – I don’t think the issue is email delivery because the error message generates right away by the plugin/WP. The user’s record is created, but I don’t think the outbound email is ever generated and the error message seems to indicate that as well. Patrik – the site has generated emails successfully using normal WP functionality, although, honestly, I don’t know if that’s true since installing the plugins because we don’t really have any activity on the site that would generate an email at this point. I will send admin info in a private message shortly… February 18, 2019 at 3:52 am #3637This reply has been marked as private.February 18, 2019 at 8:48 am #3639This reply has been marked as private.February 18, 2019 at 4:01 pm #3640This reply has been marked as private.February 19, 2019 at 5:13 am #3641Have you had a chance to look into this yet? Thanks! February 19, 2019 at 5:32 am #3642Hi, It seems the admin credentials are wrong and not working. Can you please double check and let me know? Regards,

So here’s the challenge (I think). The login is failing on a UsersWP page. I manually created the account with the credentials I sent, but something is preventing it from recognizing it as a valid login. If I disable the UsersWP plugin, I think that will let you in…but will you be able to review the settings that way? I suppose you could re-enable the plug-in once you’re signed in. Unfortunately, this is the initial build and we don’t have a second/development site. Let me know if disabling the plugin makes sense and we can go from there… February 19, 2019 at 10:20 pm #3650This reply has been marked as private.
