    Hi,
    i have a problem with the registration form. Clicking on “create account”, returns me an error “Something went wrong when sending email. Please contact site admin.” The system send an e-mail to admin with no detail inside and the new account has not been created. We use the recaptcha of userswp for registration and login, and the “geodirectory recaptcha plugin” only for comments. What wrong? The others e-mail (send to a friend, send an enquiry, etc.) works fine…

    I am unable to reach the backend. Please describe the steps needed to reach the WP Dashboard as admin.

    Further, please install the ’email log’ plugin from wordpress.org to keep a record of the email begin created by the site so we can have more information about what is or isn’t being created by the site.

    Hi Alex,
    I tried right now and it works. the address and credentials are correct.
    What’s wrong with you? No steps needed, just type the url and you will go to the wp-admin section…
    Maybe it’s been a temporary problem?

    Hi Sandro,

    The admin details work for me and I can regenerate the issue on your site as well. Can you please provide us the error log file or the FTP details to look if emails are sent properly?

    I can successfully login to the FTP but it doesn’t show any files or folders. Can you please check it from your side and let me know?

    Hi Sandro,

    The problem is due to the other emailer in WP Mail SMTP plugin. I suggest you use either gmail or default SMTP provided by your hosting without SMTP plugin and check if it works fine or not.

    Hi Patrik,
    the problem however there was even before I installed the plugin, I installed it in hopes of solving but it did not work … my hosting provider advised me to use it also for reasons of stability and security. Also I had tested this plugin locally and had not given me problems. do you still advise me to remove it?
    Is there anything that can be done to make it work?

    Hello,

    You can install the email log plugin to track if UsersWP is not generating emails. If UsersWP fails to create an email, then we can help to make sure emails are generated.

    In this case, UsersWP is generating the correct emails, so this is not a UsersWP related issue.

    However, we are unable to provide support for getting emails from your server through your host and to your site users. This is a discussion you will need to continue with your site/server host.
