Registration glitches

Hello, I’m getting the following message when completing the registration form: “Error: Something went wrong when sending email. Please contact site admin.”
This happens despite no admin e-mail notification being set, or no e-mail confirmation being required.
However, the user is still registered correctly and can login as normal.
Can you please help out?.

Hello!

Did you do a default installation? Add or remove any fields?

We have some advice for email debugging here:

It explains why you might enable debugging to catch the error for your specific case.

If you provide wp-admin details we will take a look at your setting to see if we can spot anything. You can set your reply private and only staff will be able to view it.

Hi Stiofan and Alex,

I read the e-mail debugging info and changed the default e-mail sending method from SMTP, and this has resolved the issue.
