Security Access Issue?

    Hi guys,
    This looks like a problem. Anyone can go in and stalk another user’s profile without logging in.

    Is there a way to prevent this? Or am I missing some setting somewhere?

    You can turn off the options if you do not want any social aspect of your site, and just use the parts you like.
    I’ll get the developers to have a look too to see if there is some simple code to hide the profile page from other users.

    If u go to edit you profile (account) on frontend and then select the “Privacy” option you have the options to “Hide profile from the users listing page.”

    Membership plugins have features like that based on roles and permissions, so you can try one of those if the site needs members only profiles.

    Thanks! That Privacy option works great on the Overall Users level. 🙂
    On the more granular User Profile level…Is there a way to extend these Privacy option to more tabs? e.g. Favourites, Friends

    A user would prefer not to have strangers look at their Pesonal details….How many friends they have? Who they are following? etc. This was the area I was referring to…

    Something like Airbnb. You can see the person’s profile, but you don’t get to see what the user’s favourites are etc…

    We plan on implementing the same tab builder functionality in UWP as we just did in GDv2, this should then solve this problem as u will be able to set it globally from there but it will prob be 4-6 weeks.
