Update: There was another issue related to the Pretty Link plugin setting, so this issue may not be related to the 404’s. Still curious on what the above references though.
And I still get random and recurring 404’s on Custom Posts Types. Struggling to find a culprit. Not likely it’s UWP, but just considering all options.
Thanks.
Yes, edge now seems better after making some CSS minify adjustments in WPRocket. FF still off.
I still see that position:fixed resolves it, as does .modal top:50%. But don’t want to mess that up for other browsers.
Thanks for taking a look.
Hey Patrik,
OK, so my error was in including the ‘templates’ folder in the structure. I had replicated it *exactly* from the plugin folder.
I created without the /templates/ part and it works as I expected.
Thanks!
I deactivated the Social Login addon on the live site because of this issue. I’ll see if I can replicate on a staging site and provide details/access.
Thanks.

There is a display issue with the login modal.
In FF and ie, the modal displays way at top of the screen, truncating the top half of modal. It works fine in chrome and safari. Interestingly, it only happens on a product page (where we’re using uwp-login-link) not on home page (where it’s using the nav menu endpoint).
In looking at dev tools, it seems related to
.modal, .modal-container, .modal-pointer, .modal-pointer-conceal
position: absolute; In testing, if I change this to ‘position: fixed’ it resolves the issue, but I’m concerned about messing it up further so I wanted to ask first if that was a workable solution?
Thanks.
Exactly what I was looking for, works perfect. Thanks!
Hey Alex,
Yes, thanks. And that auto-check functionality is included in the plugin ‘Persistent Login’ that we are using. But for some reason, the UsersWP login form prevents that functionality from working.
It’s like UsersWP is overriding that functionality, so I was wondering if you knew of a way to resolve.
I’ll touch base with that Dev and see if they can override your override, or something.
Any other ideas would be appreciated. Thanks, have a great day.
OK, I understand. I’m not going to write any custom code around this function however. Above my pay grade. 🙂
The inability to ‘customize’ the UWP login – add a header image in the modal, add colors and borders, use a different social login plugin and place icons in modal, etc, etc, etc, is kind of a bummer though.
Maybe providing this ability might be a good feature for the road map.
(although that still does not solve the fact that the Elementor modal fully displays 3-5 seconds faster than the UWP modal).
Thanks for looking at it.
This reply has been marked as private. Thanks Alex. I’ll mess around with that and see if I can get something to work well enough until you possibly add that as a feature.
