The Listings and Favorites tabs that UsersWP adds to profiles use GeoDirectory’s archive item template, the same card layout as your category and search pages. To change what each listing shows, such as the address, phone number or rating, edit that template.

Edit the archive item template

  1. Go to GeoDirectory > Settings > General > Pages and note the page set as Archive item page.
  2. Edit that page. It is built from GeoDirectory blocks or shortcodes such as GD > Post Title, GD > Post Address and GD > Post Meta.
  3. Add the fields you want, remove the ones you do not, and update the page.

If a post type has its own archive item page, set in that post type’s settings under Template Page Settings, the profile tab for that post type uses it.

This applies with the Bootstrap design style, which is the default. If Default Design Style under UsersWP > General > Developer is set to Legacy (non-bootstrap), the tabs use an older UsersWP layout that shows the title and a short excerpt.

A different layout only on profiles

To give profiles their own card layout, add a custom profile tab that uses the GD > Listings shortcode with a separate template page.

  1. Create a new page and build the card layout you want, the same way as the archive item page. Note its page ID.
  2. Go to UsersWP > Form Builder > Profile Tabs and add a Shortcode tab.
  3. Use a shortcode like the ones below, with your own post type and page ID.
  4. Remove the default Listings or Favorites tab if your new tab replaces it.
[gd_listings post_type="gd_place" post_author="current_author" template_type="page" tmpl_page="123" post_limit="10"]

[gd_listings post_type="gd_place" show_favorites_only="1" favorites_by_user="current_author" template_type="page" tmpl_page="123" post_limit="10"]

The first shows the listings owned by the user whose profile is being viewed. The second shows that user’s favorites. On a UsersWP profile page, current_author means the profile owner.
